The African Human Rights Coalition issues this unequivocal and urgent statement: the findings of the recent 300-page report by the Civil Commission expose, "Silenced No More, Sexual Terror Unveiled", with devastating evidentiary clarity, that the barbaric and depraved atrocities committed on October 7 were not incidental acts of war but a planned, systemic, tactical and orchestrated campaign of sexual violence perpetrated by the Palestinian ruling authority, Hamas, against Israeli civilians. This weaponization of rape, mutilation, and gender-based brutality, that included children, and forced sexual acts on family members, constitutes one of the most egregious mass crimes of our time.

Silence, equivocation, or selective outrage in the face of such evidence risks complicity.

We therefore call on all leaders, human rights organizations, feminist movements, and social justice advocates, worldwide, to rise above political alignment and ideological convenience, and to unequivocally and unconditionally issue statements to condemn these horrific crimes.

The integrity of human rights principles depends on their universal application; anything less abandons victims and erodes the very foundation of justice. REPORT HERE
